Switching to the free version

In this article, you will find important information about switching to the free version of EnergieID, for both private and business users. We will cover what happens when you remove a record from a group and how you, as a group administrator, can cancel a subscription.

You are a member of a group that offers Premium

If you are a member of a group that offers Premium, you may want to remove your record from that group. Once you do this, your record will automatically be converted to the free version. The Premium license will then become available under the group's subscription and can be assigned to another record by the group administrator.

What you need to do:

  1. Open your record and go to Groups in the left menu. Then select the group from which you want to remove the record, and click Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page.
  2. Be aware that by doing this, you will lose your assigned Premium license and your record will automatically revert to the free version, unless you still have access to Premium features through another membership.

You are the administrator of a group that offers Premium

As a group administrator, you can remove records from the group, freeing up the assigned Premium licenses. These freed licenses can then be assigned to other records within the group.

What you need to do:

  1. Go to your group's record list and select the record you wish to remove from the group. Then click the action button Remove from group.
  2. The freed Premium license will automatically become available within your group's subscription.

If you decide to cancel the entire subscription, including all Premium licenses, please contact sales@energieid.be. Inform all group members that they will no longer have Premium benefits after the next payment date.

What happens when downgrading to the free version?

When your record is reverted to the free version, several important changes apply. These changes also apply to records that did not meet the restrictions at the time of the introduction of the paid subscriptions, and for which the transition period has now ended.

  • You will only have access to the basic features of EnergieID.
  • Data that was available through Premium (such as quarterly data) will be hidden but not deleted. You can view this data again by upgrading your record back to Premium, or you can create a data export before the end of the subscription period or the withdrawal of the Premium license.
  • The automatic collection and processing of new measurement data will be limited to daily values.
  • Only the 10 most recent meters will remain active, while the other meters will be closed. You can reactivate these by bringing the number of meters below the limit or by upgrading the record back to Premium.
  • You can have a maximum of two free records; if you exceed this limit, only the two most recent free records will remain active, and the other free records will be closed. You can reactivate these by bringing the number of free records under your account below the limit.
