Managing group administrators

☑ EnergyID for organisations

Group administrators play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the activities within a group. Here's everything you need to know about group administrators and their responsibilities.

Adding a new administrator

  • Go to your group and select Administrators in the left menu
  • Click on Add administrator
  • Enter the email address and the role you would like to assign the new administrator.
  • Click on Save

It's important to note that the email address must match the one associated with their EnergyID account. If the email address corresponds to an existing account, the user will immediately gain administrator privileges within the group. If not, they will receive an email invitation, and once they create an account using that email address, they will automatically become an administrator of the group.

Administrator Roles

There are three distinct roles that can be assigned to group administrators: Owners, Administrators, and Limited Administrators.

  • Owners: Owners have full control over all aspects of the group, including managing other administrators, modifying settings, and accessing all group data.

  • Administrators: Administrators possess comprehensive control over the group's operations, except for the ability to add or remove other administrators.

  • Limited Administrators: Limited administrators have restricted access and are typically assigned to manage specific aspects of the group, such as overseeing records within certain teams. They do not have access to the group's settings.

Ensuring Transparency

In the spirit of transparency, the list of group administrators is displayed on the group's public page. This ensures that users are always aware of the individuals with whom they are sharing their data, fostering trust and accountability within the community.

Removing a new administrator

  • Go to your group and select Administrators in the left menu
  • Click on the three dots next to the administrator you would like to remove and select Delete
  • Confirm your action in the pop-up
