Solplanet or Aiswei
Connecting Your Solplanet Account to EnergyID
To integrate your Solplanet solar PV data with EnergyID, you'll need to retrieve three specific pieces of information from your Solplanet account. This guide will walk you through the process.
Important First Step!: API Activation
Before you can find all the necessary keys, your Solplanet API access probably needs to be activated. The most straightforward way to do this is to email Solplanet support at service.nl@solplanet.net. Mention your Solplanet account email or registered phone number and request them to activate the API for your account. They will typically confirm once it's done and may provide some of the keys directly.
This step is required to be able to find all the necessary info in your account!
Required Information
You will need to find the following three keys:
- Account AppKey (a 9-digit number)
- Account API Key (Secret) (an alphanumeric string)
- Plant API Key (an alphanumeric string, specific to your installation)
Step 1: Finding Your Account AppKey and Account API Key (Secret)
Once your API access is activated by Solplanet support, you can usually find the first two keys in your Solplanet account settings:
- Log in to your Solplanet portal (e.g., cloud.solplanet.net).
- Navigate to your account profile or settings section. By clicking on your profile top right and clicking on "account and security".
- Then you navigate to "Account settings".
- Here you should find an entry for the API keys (If previously activated by customer support!).
- Identify and copy down somewhere 2 keys here on this page:
- The AppKey: This is the 9-digit number. (In your EnergyID integration setup, this will be entered into the "AppKey" field).
- The API Key (Secret): This is the longer alphanumeric string. It might be labeled or not, it is next to the shorter key.
Step 2: Finding Your Plant API Key
This key is specific to the solar plant (your installation) you want to connect to EnergyID.
- While logged into the Solplanet portal, navigate to the "Plant" section or your list of plants.
- Select the specific plant you wish to integrate with EnergyID. This will take you to the dashboard or overview page for that plant.
- On the plant's overview page, look for a section or button like "View details", "Plant information", or a settings icon related to the plant itself.
- Clicking this will typically open a pop-up or a new section displaying detailed "Plant information".
- Scroll through this information to find the Api Key (for the plant). This key is often an alphanumeric string, similar in appearance to the account API Key (Secret), but it's specific to this plant.
- Copy this Plant API Key. (In your EnergyID integration setup, this will be entered into the "Service Location Id" field, as it identifies your specific plant installation).
Step 3: Configuring the Integration in EnergyID
Once you have all three keys:
- Log in to your EnergyID account.
- Navigate to "Integrations" and click "Add new integration".
- Select "Solplanet" from the list of available services.
- You will be prompted to enter the keys you collected:
- ApiKey: Enter the long alphanumeric Account API Key (Secret) from Step 1.
- AppKey: Enter the 9-digit Account AppKey from Step 1.
- Service Location Id: Enter the long alphanumeric Plant API Key from Step 2.
- Select the EnergyID record and meter you wish to link the Solplanet data to.
- Save the integration.
After saving, EnergyID will attempt to connect to your Solplanet plant. You can then trigger a "Synchronise historical data" to import past daily production data, and "Synchronise new data" (or wait for the automatic schedule) for ongoing updates.
If you encounter any issues, please double-check that all three keys are copied correctly and that API access has been fully activated by Solplanet support. You can also refer to the "Last request" status on your integration page in EnergyID for any error messages.
